If you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, or otherwise overwhelmed, you have come to the right place! You may feel stuck and not sure what to do and making an appointment to meet with a counselor can also feel too much. I am here to help you feel better and work with you taking small steps toward change and happier you.
Everyone has struggles in their lives and no one or nothing is perfect. We can let the struggles push us down and defeat us or take small steps toward change and gain control over our lives. Self care is important for our success and for both physical and mental health. We live in a busy world and often feel guilty or lazy when we are not "doing something productive." But it is important to take care of yourself both mentally and physically, take time for yourself, and relax to be better able to face those struggles. The beach is my "Zen" and place of a relaxation. I go there when I need to relax my mind. Lets find your "Zen" where you can go to relax, in person or in your mind, to help both your body and mind heal. Everyone deserves to be happy!
I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Our journey starts with us creating a relationship with each other based on trust. It is important that you feel safe and comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings without feeling to be judged. It is your right to be who you are.
Going to counseling does not mean that there is something wrong with you. It is important to take care of all aspects of you. Mental pain is real and as hurtful as physical pain is, and you have the right to heal and feel good. Therapy provides you a safe space to share and communicate with someone who keeps your thoughts, feelings, and experiences confidential without judgment.
In counseling together we tailor the session for your needs collaborating and taking steps toward growth and change. It is important to focus on the positives in life although life struggles make it challenging at times. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, art, and activities among other approaches to give you tools to face these struggles and make changes in your life the ways that work for you. Whether your struggles are big or small, together we can find the right path to create growth, help you thrive, and take the steps to a better YOU.
I am here to help you navigate through life's challenges and offer individual counseling services that are tailored to your specific needs. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, I am here to support you.
Our child and adolescent counseling services are designed to help young people overcome a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more. Evidence-based techniques are used to help children and teens develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and achieve greater success in school and other areas of life. Parents are an important part of the healing.
Family dynamics can be complex and challenging. We can work together as a family unit to navigate through the challenges and build stronger relationships. We will work to improve our skills to communicate better, resolve conflicts, and build stronger bonds.
Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can have a negative impact on our mental and physical health. The stress management services are designed to help you learn practical strategies to manage stress and improve your overall well-being.
Depression can make it difficult to enjoy life and engage in activities you once loved. Sometimes life gets so overwhelming and painful that the only way out seems to be ending your life. Suicide is not the answer and it WILL get better. Lets find a way to overcome depression and develop a more positive outlook on life. One step at a time.
Psychological Assessments are meant to assist with diagnosis, recommendations to address the conditions in question, look at individual strengths, and make recommendations for home, school, work, and/ or college settings.
Typically the evaluations consist of the parent or client consultation meeting, parent and/ or client interview, face-to-face testing (3 to 6 hours depending on the referral reason), collecting information from other sources (e.g. teachers, therapists, etc.), scoring of the forms, interpretation and report writing, and a feedback meeting.
You will receive a comprehensive evaluation report including the diagnosis and appropriate recommendations when the evaluation is completed that you can share with your doctor, psychiatrists, pediatrician, school, college, work, etc. Currently, these evaluations are completed from the initial consultation to the feedback session in about 3 to 4 weeks depending on the depth and length of the evaluation.
If you are not using insurance, the out-of-pocket-costs depends on the referral reason and the depth of the evaluation, and a Good Fate Estimate is given if no insurance is used. Insurance is filed for in-network benefits for the panels that I currently accept (see FAQ) but to know your benefits, please contact your insurance company customer service number on the back of your card.
